The Shubra El-Khaimah Criminal Court, Fifth Circuit, headed by Judge Ahmed Refaat El-Naggar, with judges Ragab Mohamed Refai and Mahmoud Mohamed Beriri, and secretary Reda Gaballah, sentenced three defendants to 15 years of maximum security imprisonment for attempting to murder a young man, and acquitted the fourth defendant in the Qalyub Police Station jurisdiction in Qalyubia Governorate, while keeping them in detention for another pending case.The security forces at the Qalyubia Security Directorate had received a report on the death of a young man, who was shot after returning from work in the Sidi Abdul Rahman area of Qalyub city in Qalyubia Governorate. The body was transferred to the hospital under the disposition of the Public Prosecution, which appointed the forensic department to perform an autopsy on the deceased and authorized burial afterward, while requesting the investigations unit to probe the incident and its circumstances.Upon inspection and examination, it was confirmed that a young man died as a result of a gunshot wound that caused his death, as he happened to pass by during the assault. The body was transferred to the hospital under the Public Prosecution’s authority.
